Efficient Mass Transportation

Report-5

EMBODIMENT PRINCIPLES
Optimization: The criteria like putting rods in between, making use of solar energy for running the vehicle etc should be compromised upon to get the final product of desired features.

Simplification: The vehicle is simplified by placing the engine behind , for two reasons:
a. In order to avoid the heat coming from the engine, thereby making the driver comfortable.
b. In order to provide more space for the passengers to enter and exit.
c. As the hydrogen fuel is used, the engine is more simplified than the normal engine

Aesthetics: This is about the visual appeal of the vehicle. In order to attract the passengers , the following aesthetical aspects can be taken care of:
a. The vehicle should be painted with appealing harmless colors.
b. The vehicle should be provided with the air conditioners, comfortable seats, the bus floor should be carpeted, the windows should be provided with the curtains and the ramp should be provided to move the wheel chairs.

Ergonomics: An user friendly design should be made.
a. After many years of driving, the drivers might suffer from health problems like back pain. Hence comfortable seats using materials like cushion etc. are to be provided.
b. For the passengers in standing, vertical rods and holders on the top are to be provided.

Synthesis: A combination of techniques and elements are used in order to arrive at the solution. In the mass transport which we are concerned, various techniques like engine is placed at the back of the vehicle and elements like hydrogen fuel and eco-friendly engine are used.

Iteration: After each stage of the design, the progress towards the making of the product is done. By doing the process, from the product design specification(PDS) up to the stage of design and checking, simplifying and modifying the required factors in the process all over again will improve the final product .
